The main portion of this museum is given up to a permanent exhibition titled Isère through History, a fairly-self explanatory moniker that aptly describes a showcase of this fascinating part of the world, all the way from pre-history to the modern day. Local artists get a chance to shine in the excellent temporary exhibitions, and the gardens are also a delight. The museum is located in the old bishop’s palace, and all of a sudden being a 13th century bishop doesn’t look too terrible.
