Groningen's museum of comics sketches the history of this ancient artform, showing its development from the Bayeux Tapestry via medieval Japanese and Maya drawings to modern-day cartoons including Donald Duck and Tintin. The main focus is on Dutch and Belgian comic heroes and artists – the texts are all in Dutch. Kids will also love the McDonald's inside.
