Try, for a moment at least, to imagine this reality; you are William VIII, the year is 1761, summer in fact, and you are looking forward to your first summer in a brand new palace you had built for these warmer months. You walk through the doors at Schloss Wilhelmsthal and immediately you wish for the summer to go on for all eternity. This magnificent Rococo palace is that sort of place, a dream of a residence that is splendour personified. All the outstanding regional artists of the 18th century were involved in its construction, and it shows. Visiting the palace is only possible via a guided tour, and we wholeheartedly recommend one.
