Describing itself as an Eastern European restaurant may not be such a bad idea considering how much drinking goes on in restaurants in this part of the world, and the food, much of it deep fried in batter, really is superb. The place does remain however a bar, and an exceptionally good one at that. Keep the barman company at your peril—he has a habit of giving away large measures of strong spirits.
