One of Kyiv’s most popular beaches, Venetsian has a lot to offer. Here you’ll find private and public beaches, an official beach-football pitch, two basketball courts, fascinating and extremely popular weightlifting apparatus that were constructed completely out of rubbish, cafés and food and beverage vendors. The beach attracts a diverse crowd: pensioners tend to congregate near the bridge, jetsetters head for one of the private beaches, college students and families with small children crowd the public beach that lies perpendicular to the bridge and nudists flaunt their junk on the public beach that lies parallel to and furthest from the bridge.
Getting there: head north from Hidropark metro station, cross Venetsiansky Bridge and turn right.
