A small hotel that appears to have taken its inspiration from a 1970s British situation comedy, if you don’t mind running the risk of getting electric shocks from the carpet and trundling a good couple of kilometres in and out of town this one’s a very good bargain indeed. The rooms are hardly luxurious, but they’re clean and the facilities are as good as you’ll get in a hotel twice this price. Extras include friendly staff, guarded parking and a pool.

It sounds like nonsense but this well located hotel is budget luxury at its very best. Up on the hill next to the wonderful Christ's Resurrection Church, the rooms are neat and tidy if not exactly breathtaking, but coming with all the basics needed for a comfortable stay. A much needed revamp of this superbly located city centre hotel came in the guise of the fabulous Reval chain. The lovely rooms all come with plasma television screens, free wireless internet, minibars and complimentary toiletries. There’s also a fairly good restaurant plus the business-class Ginger bar to boot.
