NI by railway
NI used to have an extensive railway network, but today three main lines survive to serve commuters and seasoned travellers.
The good news it that it is very easy to get around and several ticket options (particularly Sundays, seasonal, special events and family) provide good value for money.
From
Bangor,
Derry,
Larne and
Newry, local writer and railway enthusiast
Colin McAlpin takes us on a train ride across NI and uncovers some fascinating snippets along the routes.
Divided into four journeys (
Belfast to Bangor,
Belfast to Derry,
Belfast to Larne and
Belfast to Newry), check out the chapters for a station-by-station trip. And for lots more info, visit the Translink NI Railways
