'Lemko Girls from Komańcza' mural

The sad forlorn faces of Arkadiusz Andrejkow's haunting mural the 'Lemko girls from Komańcza' will stay with the viewer for some time. This renowned and prolific artist been painting street art murals for several years. He was born in 1985 in Sanok and is a graduate of the Faculty of Art at the University in Rzeszów. His work is all over the region and it's a joy to serendipitously happen upon it.

This series came about when, in 2017, he received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the implementation of the ‘Silent Memorial’ project. He has taken part in several individual and several dozen collective exhibitions around the country.
