Adam Mickiewicz

Pl. Mickiewicza ,   Old Town         22 Apr 2024
Though vastly overshadowed by the Poznań Uprising Monument (see 1956 Uprising), this plaza is nevertheless named after 19th century patriot and romantic, Adam Mickiewicz - one of the ‘three bards of Polish literature.’ Sculpted by Bazyli Wojtowicz, the bronze bard was here first, overlooking the square since 1960.
