A bit of a trek from the city centre, this place offers cheap and near-cheerful accommodation to budget conscious travellers. The rooms and dorms are reached via rather dark and unwelcoming hallways, and though simply furnished the private rooms are at least relatively quiet, and have free wifi to remind you that you are in the 21st century. Bathrooms (both the private and shared) are a long way from luxurious, but are kept spotlessly clean and hot water is never an issue regardless the time of night or day. A friendly bunch, the staff are on call 24 hours a day and will go out of their way to help in any number of languages; consensus among the seasoned backpackers we spoke to was ‘I’ve stayed in much worse.’
