The restaurant at the Kaufleuten is something of an institution in Zurich, and is still popular with a better-off, well-established clientele, but neither the atmosphere nor the prices are absolutely exclusive. White tablecloths, chandeliers and a mix of bistro and upholstered chairs set the slightly eclectic scene. The menu combines sushi, Thai curry and a number of Mediterranean-style dishes. Ingredients are very fresh and the chef gives the dishes a little twist. But what convinced us most was the coffee - simply excellent.
