Cuisine from southern Vietnam is what the Saigon majors on. They of course have the traditional pho soup either with beef, shrimps, chicken, fish or tofu. There is also a huge choice of rice and noodle dishes, as well as salads, some originating from other Asian countries. You will be seated on long tables and usually served quickly. For dessert we took a ché (based on beans) with banana and coconut milk. We liked it, precisely because at first it tastes somewhat peculiar to a Western tongue.
