Two things immediately catch your eye at Kern. The first are dozens, if not hundreds, of music cassettes (some of you might still remember what they look like) glued to the wall, creating some of the coolest wallpaper we've ever seen. The second is the big aquarium full of colourful fish serving as a wall behind the bar. This is definitely one of the cooler bar backgrounds we've seen so far, even if the marine creatures have no say in whether or not they feel like hanging out with all of the revellers here each night. The place is usually abuzz with 20-somethings and even some folks who've made it past 30 and although DJs occasionally spice things up, dancing is rarely on the agenda here. But a simple bar night can be good fun, too.
