The key feature of Gran Sasso is its charcoal grill, which can be found in the middle of the excessively decorated dining room (think oil paintings, mirrors and chandeliers). Naturally, grilled meat is one of its main specialities and we happily devoured an Argentinian rib eye steak without any regrets or complaints. The meat was juicy and grilled to a perfect medium as ordered and the fried potatoes came in two helpings. Our cuttlefish starter, however, was a touch too meaty for our liking, but the crema Catalana we had for dessert had a superb texture and excellent flavour.
