The Pavillon Le Corbusier on Lake Zurich is considered an architectural jewel. Completed in 1967, it is the last building designed by the great Swiss architect Le Corbusier and his only building made of steel and glass. After extensive renovations in 2019, the building shines with new splendour and offers a unique architectural promenade on several floors. The 2019 exhibition shows insights inte Le Corbusier's passion for collecting showing originals from his private collection. With this colourful house, Le Corbusier realised his vision of a synthesis of architecture, art, and life and created an ideal exhibition pavilion based on his Modulor measuring system. The building was initiated at the time by the art patron and mediator Heidi Weber and is now run as a public museum by the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich on behalf of the City of Zurich.
