Attached to Kraków's best contemporary art gallery, this enclosed terrace bar/cafe on the Planty resembles a spacious greenhouse wherein the plants have been replaced with couples, happy hour colleagues and English teachers giving private lessons around wobbly tables and chairs, and a sandbox for kids to dig through in summer. A year-round pleasure (thanks to plenty of heaters), the space is judiciously divided between smoking and non, and they now offer a full menu of delicious food that's served late; in fact the inviting atmosphere is marred only by the slow to completely negligent table service that unfortunately can't be circumnavigated.

Bunkier is one of my favorite cafes in Kraków. It borders the Planty and is easy to reach from the main square. It's open-walls and antique tables give it a nice laid back atmosphere for an lazy brunch or evening catch-up drink. The menu is good but isn't very extensive. It has both smoking and non-smoking sections. It gets very busy in summer but I would guess is that it isn't so great in winter since it is more or less open to the elements. Would recommend a visit!

I went on holiday in Krakow with my parents, we came to the Bunker café for lunch the first day in Krakow and came back everyday because the food and service we received was excellent. I would definitely recommend the café to anyone who visits Krakow.
