Warsaw's abundance of variable kebab places means that the spectrum ranges from 'one bite and straight in the bin' through to “Crikey, that was good, better have another one!”. Thankfully Amrit fits into the latter category. Held in high regard by local kebab connoisseurs since 2007, when the Syrian born owner opened his first venue in Warsaw, the chain now has five sites dotted around town. As well as the classic kebab range, they also do a nice line in Middle Eastern specials, grilled dishes and vegetarian options. Their freshly prepared baklava style sweets are also proving to be a big hit. Cheap, filling and permanently busy. Also at ul. Kondratowicza 25 (Bródno-Podgrodzie), ul. Grójecka 20C (E-4), ul. Mickiewicza 27 (Żoliborz), ul. Górczewska 97 (Urlychów), ul. Targowa 72 (CH Wileńska, G/H-1).
