We don't know if the attractive staff in this establishment are responsible for the trendy décor or the prevalence of mirrors about the place, but you can admire yourself or your server in one of 16 reflective surfaces. Fortunately, ostentatious pretension isn't all that's on offer here. The extensive drinks list and the affordable menu are reason enough to pay a visit to Jaap. We were particularly impressed by the carpaccio XL and all mains are accompanied by a chunk of bread and thick Flemish chips. On the other hand the 'sincerely recommended exclusive tea menu' is an obvious exaggeration and not all it's cracked up to be.
