Situated in a 19th century shoe factory, this is one of the city's most stylish bars and a great place for some fine gastro pub grub. The two storey-high interior of exposed brick, industrial pipes, open fire and pale green and chrome décor gives the space a cool yet comfy vibe. Upstairs, the Green Room Cocktail Lounge is particularly worthy of your patronage. Along with the adjoining Shoe Factory it's a popular pre-club venue beside big sister Kremlin nightclub. Theme nights can range from Bingo and Karaoke to quizzes and cabaret. Quelle fun.

As a new middle-aged guy just entering the gay scene I have found the Union bar and Slosh to be very welcoming. Both bar staff and security staff could not do more for its customers. 10/10 especially for security staff.

I think things must have changed as any night I have been there recently the security folk are fine. They do look fairly serious but then I suppose they can't get too friendly with the punters or it would be hard to eject them if they were causing problems!

i totally agree with the review above and because of the bouncers attitude it has put a lot of people of going there.

The bouncers need to take a course in customer service. I found their attitude and manner quite agressive
