Depending on the strength of one's arm, Hotel Opera is located almost literally a stone's throw from both Trg Republike and Skadarklija. The building itself is a 19th-century beauty and an historical landmark, which was home to one of the oldest cinemas in the city and for several years the Belgrade Opera (hence the name). The rooms are all modernly renovated and include the usual amenities, while the halls and other public areas are decorated with large scale artworks that harken back to the premises' rich cultural past.
