Like most places in Central and Eastern Europe, the assumption is that vegetarians and vegans will have a hard time in Slovakia. This is a load of nonsense at best, as modern culinary trends have long made themselves at home in Bratislava and beyond. If you aren’t interested in meat you’ll find plenty of restaurants to enjoy, something that will soon go without saying for the region.
