One of the flagship outposts of the National Museum of Wales, this stunning building is home to more Welsh collections than you can shake your leek at. Established in 1912, the museum has sections dedicated to botany, zoology, fine and applied art, archaeology and geology, with the internal National Museum of Art a particular highlight. Entrance is free, the best type of price, making this a fantastic cultural option in Cardiff. Keep an eye on the website for an update schedule of exhibitions.
