Much of what Mostar has to offer on the sightseeing front is walkable, making the Herzegovinian treasure an eminently visitable city. The sightseeing portion of town traverses the many faces of this region, from fascinating and occasionally brutal history to a true creativity on the architecture front. There are statues both classical and unorthodox, along with a wide range of mosques, churches and other structures. The city is still pockmarked with buildings in ruins following the carnage of the ‘90s, meaning memories of the war are never too far away. But this is a city built on positivity, and such is visible in its many attractions. We also heard something about a bridge, can’t say for sure though…
