Taj India

  ul. Wiankowa 3 ,   Lake Malta          (+48) 61 876 62 49     more than a year ago

For those staying in the centre, it’s easy to overlook Taj India due to its location up at Lake Malta. But if a walk around Malta is on your to-do list then you could do a lot worse than pop in for a bite to eat. Granted, from the outside it doesn’t look like much, but the inside decor is authentic without being too over the top and the staff are extremely helpful. The menu provides all you’d expect from an Indian restaurant, including chicken vindaloo, lamb boti, a good selection of veggie options, and all the extras - naans, beers, poppadoms, and the like - required to supplement the meal.

Four years ago we were at this restaurant for the first time as it was recommended to us by family. We were absolutely not disappointed and even went back for a second meal that same week. When we decided to go to Poznan again this year we planned on going here again after a visit to the Nowe Zoo (recommended as well!!). Again the food was lovely and we are both fans of indian cuisine. We had vegetable samosas chicken saag and chicken khadhi and all the dishes were good and full of flavour! Staff had improved since our last visit as well....Maybe you should go back again because this indian restaurant does not get a fair deal on this website.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Dharmesh Singh, I graduated from Madras Culinary School in 1987. Since then, I have been traveling in Europe, stopping for Indian delicacies along the way. My journey started last year in Spain. I made my way to Italy, Bulgaria, and my last stop has been Poland. Along the way, I have been to many Indian restaurants. I can say with full confidence, that TAJ INDIA has one of the better Indian foods I came across. The Indian experience would have been tip top if the service was better (but I guess that is part of the Indian experience).Recommended dishes I enjoyed: Egg Curry, Lamb Khorma, and Butter Chicken.

I dont agree. It may have been a bad day for you there. I have been there a few times, and the food is good. Yes, I agree that it is not the best Indian, but it is not at all like you described.
