Simply put, this has been one of Bucharest's finest hotels for almost a century. It is a living piece of the city's history - it dates from 1914 - and yet inside its historic facade you will find a most modern place to stay. There is a wide range of rooms to choose from: the best are those with views over Piata Revolutiei. Indoor pool and health club, terrific onsite dining and of course this is the home of the English Bar: probably Bucharest's most famous bar.
272 rooms. Prices from 975-5475 lei. Prices include breakfast, but not local taxes and VAT (9%).

We spent 3 night at the Hilton Bucharest and we loved it. The hotel is full of character, clean, comfortable and the staff is excellent. The executive lounge is awesome, lots of food, drinks and free Internet access. If in Bucharest this is the place to be!!!
I can't recommend the Athenee Palace Hilton highly enough. The standard of customer service and attention to detail exceeded my expectations - we had a delightful stay.
The Athenee Palace will always remain the Athenee Palace. A legendary hotel in Bucharest, with that never dying image provided by Rosie Waldeck's book. However, if you want to stick to the legend, book one of the rooms in the old wing, and not in the new glass covered building to the back. Of their other facilities, I would recommend Le Diplomate Conference Hall (one of the greatest in town in terms of atmosphere) and Roberto's. The Restaurant. In summer do not miss a waterpipe and a chai in their back yard.
