The moniker ‘Šarena džamija’ (colourful mosque) has quite the reputation to uphold, but Tuzla’s version does not let the side down. Officially known as the Atik Behram Bey Mosque, the house of worship and education is found at the far end of the city centre. The ‘colourful’ epithet comes from the vibrant interior as opposed to its facade, although at the time of writing renovation work was taking place on that exterior.
