This stunning exhibit explores the work of famous Ukranian artist Maria Prymaczenko, who painted throughout threat of atomic war and the Chernobyl disaster. Her work reflects her love for her country and draws on elements of nature, with frequent motifs of animals, greenery, gardening and folklore.
Another transformative element is language – Prymachenko adds short, poetic-descriptive titles to her works, which sometimes decode the content of the paintings or serve as dedications or wishes, as well as processed quotes from folk songs
