Depicted as the little doll’s house in Gunter Grass’ Call of the Toad, Vinifera is a tiny canal side cottage which could easily play a part in Wind in the Willows. The inside is a little disappointing featuring a tiny bar and a dark lounge area upstairs with mirrored walls. The friendly couple serving beer and Polish food are welcoming enough which makes it an interesting option for one drink on a tour of the city's nightlife.

  While by no means one of the city's best bars it is well worth a stop particularly if you're into your Gunter Grass. I don't think I've ever had a drink in such a small pub.
