A homely, quiet hotel by the railway station and opposite the Staropramen brewery. Fear not, double glazing keeps the noise out of the sunny, well appointed rooms although you should take a rear courtyard facing room if you are a light sleeper. Minibar, hair dryer etc. are standard in their not-so-standard rooms – this is a converted 1898 residential building so all rooms are unique; the owner is an architect. Staff are friendly and multilingual.
Stayed in the Hotel Andel during the 2nd week of January 2009, this hotel is located to the west of the city near the banks of the River - The Andel lives up to it terms of service, room quality and of course its prices, its staff were excellent, warm and friendly. Its room noise although this is to be expected in any International Hotel and none of this issues in anyway impacted our enjoyment of this fantastic city. The Old town is a 20 min walk and a further 10 to Wenseslass Sq, though the hotel is close to major Tram stops and the metro (3min to walk) which run until the early hours of the morning.
