This superb Belgian restaurant and beer bar is perhaps the only gastronomic establishment in town that can be proud of the pommes frites on its outstanding menu. Sample authentic Flemish cuisine, modern fusion or select one of the traditional favourites like ‘bull’s glands.’ Belgian beers are also plentiful. Did we mention that they serve gigantic steaming pots of mussels, flown daily from Brussels?
Drink the beer, it is fantastic served at the right temperature, but beware of the mussels. The one's we ate(I realise it was not the right season, end of april, but do not serve mussels then)Half of the mussels were dead befor cooking, and you could taste it.The mayonaise served was made with sweet mustard in stead of the french Dyon mustard, or the Belgian Devos-Lemmens version. There was too little oil used to make a good mayonnaise. Maybe one has better luck with the other dishes.Bibidum
