<p>In cooperation with the National Museum of Afghanistan in Kabul, Prague’s Náprstek Museum offers a partial glimpse into the rich history and tradition of the Afghan region. Highlights include Afghan Buddhist relics from the first to ninth centuries AD. Due to the ongoing conflict in the region, many items of cultural importance have been destroyed. The artefacts brought to Prague were restored locally by restoration experts from the National Museum.</p>
