The Drunk Bee, Girta Bitė is an amber-coloured odyssey close to the Cathedral specialising in mead but also serving other great drinks. A Vilnius favourite and a somewhat sophisticated homage to honey, this is a recommended place to stop for great bar food when the alcohol kicks in.

Shambolic and stylish in equal measure, another great bar in Vilnius worth a visit is Peronas, conveniently located next to the train station for hardcore drinkers who’ve just arrived. A good option for late-night drinking during the weekend, you’ll also find some of the best DJs in Lithuania playing here from time to time.
